Sello

Black Box realised a tailor made communication solution in the new shopping center "Sello" in Finland.

SelloIn the Sello solution several large format displays are located around the shopping center and they display high resolution advertising messages. The input source can freely be selected from PC's, DVD players, DV recorders and video cameras. The system also allows transmitting of sound. The messages are transferred hundreds of yards from the machinery room in the basement via or- dinary CAT5 cable. The broadcast is real time and noicefree.

Sello- The starting point for the planning and a basic requirement in the Sello project was a flexible routing system that is easy to use, service and expand, says Mr. Jyrki Piikamaki, Sello Project Manager. - It also had to be able to transmit high quality live picture from several sources, at several resolutions and proportions and up to 1,000 feet away.

- Large 63 inch plasma displays and a 120 square feet led screen hardly forgive disturbances in image transfer, continues Mr. Piikamaki.

- It was a challenging project but from the Black Box selection we were able to find the necessary equipment and together with Black Box people set up a system that fulfilled the high requirements.
