Black Box Network Services and the RoHS2 Directive

RoHS2 (Directive 2011/65/EU) became European Law on July 21, 2011 and went into effect January 2, 2013. It is an updated version of the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment, formerly known as RoHS1 (2002/95/EC).

Although RoHS2 does not initially introduce any new substance restrictions, it does allow for a wider range of equipment to fall within its scope. Since 2006 when the initial RoHS Directive became law, Black Box has focused on being able to provide our worldwide clients with the compliant products they need and desire. Today, our focus is to be able to provide you with RoHS2 compliant products and by working closely with our raw materials supply chain partners, we are dedicated to that end.
